Project statement
This title might sound overly romantic at first glance but touches deeply into the heart of our existence and the way we perceive reality. Subject and object, darkness and light, life and death. We face the world from a dualist perspective that may seem and feel obvious but reveals itself as nothing more than an elaborate illusion of separation when carefully investigated through contemplative practices.
Viewed side by side, the relationship between the photographs creates a complex intertwining that blurs the boundaries between man and nature, questioning who we really are and inviting the seer to realize that nothing exists by itself. Each being or thing is inseparable from all that it's not, like a mirror and its reflection.
