In these polarized but fascinating times dialog is key, and photography, like all art, can be the catalyst to spark conversations. By giving a platform to a diverse global collective of artists who show different perspectives, see-zeen hopes to contribute to an open-minded community that accepts and respects the Other.
In our deliberately curated first issue we share the projects which were selected from our first Open Call. We thank all the photographers from across the globe who submitted work. The selected artists come from Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, USA, India, Russia, Colombia, the Netherlands and the UK. Each of them was chosen for their thought-provoking work that is intentional and meaningful. Through their images, our nine featured photographers have the potential to initiate a dialog with each other and a broader audience. Their themes are relevant to today’s environment and reflect not only their world individually, but our world, all of us, wherever we live.
